enjoy and let me know if you like them!!🥺💗

It was not until 2020 that I got myself dug into the pit of film reels and pictures. My parents had a habit of capturing every detail of our lives and documenting them into neatly sectioned albums. My mum even wrote down the dates and the scene behind the capture. Occasionally viewing these pictures and discussing them at family gatherings is a really fun tradition.

It’s the fun of that immediate shot and the fact that you don’t get to have a hundred pictures and choose the best among them. Plus no instant preview either.

My house has a suitcase full of these. I love to call it the suitcase of memories. It holds pictures of my grandparents' memories right from black and white to brown and white and then colored. Pictures as small as the size of a polaroid to as big as a postcard. Watching these right from the time they got married till the time my father was born and their travel stories that followed later made me think of treasuring such undeveloped films (negatives) and why not capture my memories on negatives huh?

Digital pictures are cool because you get to click many at a time, make videos and clips and so many things. But negatives help you nurture the value of the moment. It is really beautiful to remember each one of those with the help of the little marks written on the back of each photo!!

I was clueless about all of this until I saw pictures of people still interested in film photos. After thorough research, I found where to get a film from, how to get it developed, and at the same time digitize it. Audrie was a great help in all of this because my parents found it difficult to help me with getting all of it now.

I finally got a Fuji C200 film and used an old Nikon AF 220 to capture photos. Being highly excited I tried not to mess things up, so I asked my father to load the film.

After this, I started my journey of snapping film photos. I clicked all sorts of photos.. family ones, aesthetic, nights, full and less lens exposure all of it. It was really fun. It was then, that dawned on me that I could do film and digital. This helped me realize the importance of a single best shot.

I clicked a total of 36 pictures. Some could pass the developing bar while the rest made it home without successfully getting printed to postcard pictures.

The best part of all of this was that I got to know my father showed me all the places he used to go develop his films then, where did he buy his camera from how things were back. Things have changed a lot. The shops where he once got his films from have either completely shut down as they could not keep up with the recent trends while some have accepted digital photography.

All I’d like to say was that the film became the highlight of 2021 and the journey that came along was worth the memories and new experiences.

     Hello, y'all!!!

I hope you are healthy and fine :))

I have a really big surprise for you all so keep reading and stay here till the end!

The weather outside confuses me.  It rains heavily for days. At other times there is not a single trace of rain anywhere. These unusual changes are killing us and the temperature is very high at times. Don't worry I'm not going all geographical over you. I have a perfect solution to beat the heat and to stay cool indoors!!

Ever since I was a kid my grandmother used to get all the seasonal fruits for us to eat. Peaches, pomegranates, strawberries, cherries, and the list goes on. It is the sweet and sour taste for me that makes me want to eat those more. So why not spice these fruits up to make real cool drinks??

I made this drink a week back and I clicked a dozen of pictures of it just to Share them with you all.

So let's dive into the recipe!!

    Ingredients-

    • Pomegranate Seeds (a bowl of them)
    • Mint Leaves- (5/6)
    • Slices of Lemon
    • Ice Cubes
    • Soda/ Sprite
    • Sugar and Salt if needed

    Pomegranate Punch-

    1. You need to add the Pomegranate seeds to the glass
    2. Crush them well
    3. Add 5-6 mint leaves to the mixture
    4. Crush them well too
    5. Add few ice cubes
    6. Place a slice of lemon
    7. Add the soda/ sprite (If you add sprite that would be enough. But if you add soda you will have to add at least two-three teaspoons of powdered sugar)
    8. And tada!!! Your drink is ready

    NOW THE SURPRISE!!!!!!!!

Oh My God, I'm so happy to share this!!

Now you can watch my recipes and random blogs too!!

    YESS YESSS

The link given below is of my YouTube channel, head over to my video and have a look at the making of this tasty drink:))))

    hey there lovelies!!

So I'm writing this when it's drizzling outside and the weather is quite cool. Honestly, I miss summers! The sky used to stay blue and white all day and now it's just all gloomy. I'm more of a white cloud fan. They're peaceful and smiley.

The seasons are changing quite faster now that we are sitting at home. Sometimes I wonder, what if this continues for a long time. Like even years? This can be your perfect guide!!

Sitting at home and attending online lectures can get monotonous. So I started adding a little spice to my life. You can call it living the "that girl" lifestyle I call it living healthier and productive. To do things that make you happy and feel energized. Here are the few things I tend to practice.

You can tell me yours in the comment section below!! And if you don't find any you can click here.

    Here we go,

    The Bathing Therapy

This is my favorite thing to do in the day. I read in a book on Wattpad that when you're going through a hard day or even a lot of stress having a nice bath helps. I remember in that book the girl followed this therapy thoroughly. It's as if you cleanse your aura. Lately, I do this at night. It's like a small preparation and kicks start for the next day. It's my favorite and best practice.

    Books before phones

Every morning before tuning into my phone I read at least 10pages of the ongoing book I'm reading. I have no idea how it helps. But apparently, it feels good that I don't start my day with a gadget.

    Podcasts

I was very new to this field of podcasts until last year. Stepping into this was like a new experience. I didn't have the habit of listening to so much content. Songs, yes! But an hour or more listening to someone talk about a topic was new! But I'm glad I gave them a try. I'm listing some of my favorites below so do check it out.

    Growing with the flow

    Poems to Calm Down

    Productivity>>>

When the day starts I have this list planned in my head regarding how to go about with the day. It's the list of 'the things that have to be done no matter what.' If I tend to leave a single item undone from the list I go a bit crazy. I started doing this more often since college. It was since then I felt the need to have things done timely and to have a productive day.

    Peace of mind through Meditation

I found these really cute 5-10 minutes meditation videos on YouTube at the beginning of the quarantine time. I started doing these and it got that intention and meaning into my system. It wasn't until last month that I started practicing them every day early in the morning to have a nice kick start into my day.

    Journaling

When you journal you do the best thing. This is not my line but I feel it makes sense to me. I didn't journal first nor do I regularly do it. I just write down a few of my memories with colorful pens and then decorate them with washi tapes. Sounds like journaling to me!! But spending time writing down things you like is a good job which one should practice more often.

I hope you like this and you can revert to me in the comments with your good habits. Meet you soon with a new blog.

     XOXO

     hello there!!!!

It’s been months since I showed up here! I hope all of you are staying indoors and being safe and healthy.

I couldn’t blog because my uni exams were up. These few months had a lot of things going on. I had an entire week that I spent having fun with my siblings procrastinating work all day and doing nothing. One of the many reasons I couldn’t catch up was because I was getting my assignments done and I was working too. After lazing around for so long I felt like updating new things here! So ayah I’m back!! (I say this always to disappear for a few more months ha-ha)

So all of I hope you all had a great summer. and I guess the little stock of mangoes must be waiting right there in the fridge. So why not just make those last few ones tasty and fun to drink?

I made this mango smoothie a few weeks back and I thought of sharing it with you all. I know you will get a gazillion recipes on the web but I promise mine will be creative and tastier!!

    Ingredients-

Milk, Cream, two mangoes, and Mango ice cubes (this is my little special ingredient!)

    Smoothie-

    • Take out the pulp from the mango and put it in the bowl.
    • Take some fresh milk and add it to the bowl too. add sugar if you like.
    • Now blend this well. You can do this in the mixer too.
    • This makes the main part of the smoothie ready!!

Now, making the ice cubes. This is my special ingredient.

When you prepare the ice cubes do not prepare them with water.

Take a little pulp of the mango and add some milk to it. Let it not be so thick that when the ice forms it melts too soon. Mix the pulp with milk and stir it well. You’ll know when it becomes thinner. Add it to the type of ice tray you want. I made them in heart and flower shapes like given below!!

The reason I do this is that the water ice cubes tend to melt and make the entire smoothie all watery. So you can try this as an alternative.

After this is ready pour the smoothie in the glass first. Then add the ice cubes you prepared. This will make them float and it looks cute. You can add the whipped cream to the top for decoration and taste. So your smoothie is all set and ready!!

I hope you like this recipe and you can revert to me in the comments with your special ingredients and recipes. Meet you soon with a new blog.

     XOXO

Heyo there I hope you all are having a good February!!

I’m considering that you all have read my earlier blog! If not check it here! And how all things about the last year turned out to be different and unexpected. In this time I learnt and developed a few skills. Some of which I shared with y’all while the others I’m still developing. The one thing I learnt and practiced thoroughly was making Digital Illustrations!!

MY NEW PASSION – DIGITAL ILLUSTRATIONS

It basically started with me searching good wallpapers on Pinterest and these illustrations really caught my eye! They were so smooth and intricate within themselves that I started searching more and more of them. I wanted a wallpaper which had me on it rather than of some random girl in the bushes. So slowly and steadily I practiced and made my first illustration. It wasn’t that bad but I knew that I loved spending time making these for hours altogether and I also wanted to improve over the process. In the beginning I made them on my phone with a stylus. But now I have got an I-pad and a perfect pencil to make them look just the way I want!

Last year during the pandemic I made a total of 10-15 of these illustrations. You must have seen them. I’ve used them in my blog and on my Instagram. If not check out these links!!

Later I started making more of them and started gifting them to my family and relatives. And it turned out pretty well. Seeing their happy faces and the compliments that followed helped me and made me wanna do more of it.

So here I'm! This is me announcing that I’m monetizing my hobby!

If you’re confused what to gift your loved ones and are totally running out of options! Here is the best solution to it. You can surprise them with a digital portrait of theirs and plus you can customize it too.

Text me up on any of the platforms given in upper right corner of this blog or you can email me on smrutipuntambekar@gmail.com for a beautiful and totally personalized digital illustration of your own / your friends / your relatives.

There’s more to it!!  Along with your digital illustration you can add up with a wallpaper of your illustration too! So what are you waiting for??

Below given are some of my previous works. Check it out!!

apart from customized portraits I have a few random ones too!

    XOXO

What feels like the end is often the beginning!

Heyo lovelies! It’s really long since I have actually blogged! I know its 23 days since the new years but I feel bad for not wishing! A happy and healthy new year to all of you!! Also thank you for staying there throughout this year and reading my blogs! It’s great to know that I have readers and supportersJ

So this is my 2020 wrap up blog!

It has been a year full of ups and downs. A lot of things happened and mostly all of them were unplanned. I didn’t expect to start writing on an open platform and opening a blog page to achieving an honest audience either it was all pretty happening at a moment and pretty sad in another, as none of what I actually thought turned up! Funny isn’t it?

    January

The year started off well. I remember watching the last sunset of 2019 with all my friends and coloring my hair all red! Trust me it felt nice at the moment. I was in my last year of graduation and we generally have our festive days in the first week. All the boys and girls dress up all fine and nice in different attires and its quite fun. Not that my hair length was more but I decided to chop them off for a bob cut! It’s exciting to have a change at the start of the year. The last week of the month was the best of all! I became the best student of the arts faculty of my college! (Nothing more worthy than that day)!! I remember having my granny come to the ceremony.

    February

The month started with literary association’s events and nothing could be better than being the event head of the story telling competition. The event was a total bop I must say! And so were the participants’ reviews. The latter part of the month was highlighted with our industrial visit. We were taken to a nearby village that had an amazing church!

    March

It was just another normal month! And the sad feeling of last few days in college started to sink in! We were living each day as though it was the last one! We had farewell too! It was this time that the corona virus as a disease had come to people’s notice! Nevertheless we knew that after 22nd of March we will be locked in our houses till the time unknown to man. All I was happy was for the exams getting postponed!

    April

The dalgona-coffee-month! Cooking outside food at home and showing it off to family and friends basically started in this month. And yes all I did was help mom and draw! The shift from studies to drawing was smooth!

    May

No one moved out of their houses for about two months now! And video calls and messenger apps really helped to stay in touch with everyone! Me and my siblings sneaked out and finally stayed at my granny’s home. It felt like stepping out of the house after eternity! It was during this time that I finally started blogging and being vocal about my thoughts!

    June-July

The only event I remember is watching the solar eclipse on 21st of June! It was mesmerizing watching the ring! :) Days were spent playing house party and psych all day!

    August-September

The month was mainly flooded with a lot of small family gatherings and my sister’s 18th birthday. I don’t remember doing any unusual thing to put up on the list! *happy sobs*. But I blogged sincerely over this time! Oh yeah and we finally were given justice and our exams were held in this month!

    October

It was basically my baking month! I had baked almost every other possible cake. For some of them to turn into brownies while some of them to turn into pure tasteless bricks. I had my result come out this month. And I cleared my grad with a 9.48 CGPA. *happy sobs again*

    November

I remember meeting my friends after months! We even surprised our friend! It was a happy day. I also did a lot of sports illustrations in this month. And I guess I pulled them off well. Diwali went smooth and it finally felt like a festival after ages❤

    December

Everyone was happy that the dreadful year was finally ending! But it’s my favorite month so I was more inclined on making every day special. I read a lot and started driving my car too! So basically the year started with a red headed me and ended with blue and purple! Yes I colored my hair again. To look different on my birthdayJ) I made pasta and ate all the cake to end this year on full stomach note.

In all the year was a good one. NOTHING happened the way I had planned it to be but I’m quite satisfied with how it turned out!

    I promise to blog regularly!

    Stay safe and tuned.
